Chronic pain
I've been on Doluxetine for nerve pain after having stroke in December 2024, but so far pain is sometimes unbearable. Primary care physician suggested Tylenol 8hr Arthritis. How else can pain be managed?

I’ve been on buprenorphine patch initially 15mcg bumped up to 20mcg for going on 3 years with good effect. I also use THC and CBD tincture 15mg 3x day for breakthrough pain. I used to need Percocet but not very much any longer. I too have osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and scoliosis. I also exercise everyday, walk 2 miles a day and stretch 2x day to maintain my core strength. It doesn’t get any easier as we age and our bodies breakdown.
Does the pain from scoliosis respond to physical therapy or braces? Might be worth asking your doctor about
I have scoliosis and osteoarthritis in my back, and haven’t had any relief for years. I just started on low-dose naltrexone, and seems to be helping a bit. I’ll know more when I’m up to full dose in a week or so. Unfortunately, it looks like it’s going to cost about $50 a month
I think you are doing very well!! I’m proud of you for taking such good care of yourself and walking two miles a day!!!
God!! I don’t know how you manage to exercise and walk two miles a day!!
I can barely make it into the bathroom with my walker the pain is so bad!
I would very much like to feel like you do.
If the Suboxone doesn’t help me I’ll be asking my pain doctor for the medications that you take! You are my inspiration!!
Thank you.
I do see a pain doctor. I’ve had all necessary work ups. I just don’t care what’s wrong anymore, I just live with it. I know I have disk problems but repeating them here accomplishes nothing.
My pain doctor is trying very hard to help me and is hoping the Suboxone will help.
I have seen many suggestions on this site and if the Suboxone does not help, I will ask my pain doctor about some of the other medications.
In two weeks my rheumatologist will be injecting both my hips with cortisone and that will help a bit with the pain.
I’m just so sick of living in pain. I have no quality of life. I feel like the easiest thing is to just go away.
I take 600 mg of Gabapentin three times a day for the neuropathy in my feet. It sort of helps, but I’m probably going to ask my doctor to increase it.
See if any of these help you find relief.

I'm about to give up on finding any relief from my pain, too. I completely understand your plight!
I take Lyrica for neuropathy and fibromyalgia. I had a serious car accident about 13 years ago and I almost lost my right leg, I had a terrible head injury also. Surgeons were able to piece my leg back together but I have neuropathy in my shin and face. I still suffer from chronic pain.
