Chronic fatigue and discontinued benzo use

About 2 12 years ago I got sober. I had been taking Xanax and was was consuming alcohol for over 20 years. Since I got sober, I have been experiencing episodes/flares of extreme joint pain & bruising, hives, headaches, dry eyes & mouth,... When I go through an episode, it also affects my BP, thyroid, liver & heart. I've had blood work & allergy tests but my doctors are baffled. Nothing comes back with indicators pointing to a diagnosis. No allergies. No autoimmune markers. My next step is neurological testing & a sleep study. I'm afraid that my previous use of benzos and alcohol had fried my brain. Has anyone else experienced this? My PCP & psychiatrist have brought up TMS or Ketamine treatments. Thoughts, experiences, resources are greatly appreciated.

May I ask, are you currently on other meds that could be causing a lot of the symptoms you are experiencing?

What an awful situation to be in! I feel so bad for you! MichelleJaye is right. Check all your other medications' side effects to see if they could be contributing to your condition. Check out your over the counter items that you take also and the TMS and Ketamine treatments. You can do this by searching through Google and the Mayo Clinic for the side effects of the things you take. It's surprising what they put in things these days that will affect us in the most awful ways!

Another thing you could do is to pray. God made you and he can fix you! Just ask for his help and you will get it. I've asked God for help many times and have always gotten a good answer or direction.
