Childhood Chronic EBV causing a variety of Adulthood Issues
I had chronic EBV for about 2 years from 14-16. Was required to do hospital home bound program, get weekly IGG infusions, and managed to survive 3 infections 100% undetected and on the 4th under new testing did the doctors find proof of all the other flair ups.
Finding the virus so late lead to multi organ failure but I survived and had not seen any major issues for 10 years, until now.
A year ago I started noticing nerve like pain and increasingly darkening vision. A month ago I had an wavy vision episode where I literally could not see straight four hours. Went to the eye doctor, my eyes are fine.
I’ve been diagnosed with IBS for the last four years and just last year started having unitary incontinence too. At 29 years of age, I have begun to pee my pants on average twice per week.
Last week, I started having bad chest phlegm, chest pain, and very severe red scaly rashes that not longer look like eczema. Low grade fever, extreme night sweats through multiple wardrobe changes (in thin and not overweight).
I rushed to the ER due to shortness of breath, chest pain when coughing. The ekg came back abnormal with septal infarct, age undetermined as well as incomplete right bundle branch block. Additionally, I have had 3 different auto diff. cbc come back abnormal in the last two months.
The severity of the EBV I had experienced, feels very similar to the fatigue I am currently feeling. I have an array of symptoms and various doctors have not been able to put any pieces together.
I am afraid I have become very sick and it will be too late to get diagnosed. I need someone trained to treat infections diseases symptoms in adults who had chronic childhood EBV.
