Changed my radiation from conventional table to some new Versa table

doctor not in today to explain why? Anyone heard of it, it moves/rotates, etc?

@natem, I agree with @dpcarriere. If you Google "Versa and radiation" you can find out more about this advanced linear accelerator. I suspect the change in location for your appointment was a result of scheduling and available machinery. I'll be interested to know what you find out.

I see, I thought it sounded familiar. I don't if 'unfortunately' is the proper word, but I have experience with that system from some throat and neck cancer in the first half of 2019. That's all I know.
I am glad the doctor changed it as I would have been extremely upset knowing he was going to use something else and didn't. This is Johns Hopkins. This may even be newer, not sure. I think the last time it was a Varian 360 degree system. They were able to avoid salivary glands where years ago they would be fried. Very grateful he went with this one. It looks like Elekta and Varian are the two manufacturers I see.. I'm surprised it's not more common. Any other have experience with using this to treat their prostate cancer, or the other style tube/bed? TIA!
