Cellcept
I have been on Cellcept for 6 months and have done a round of Rituximab. I may need a knee surgery. Has anyone had surgery and found your doc has you go off your Cellcept to do this? Thank you for your input.

Yes! Absolutely! Cellcept weakens your immune system and going into the hospital for joint replacement or surgery is high risk for disease and infection. I have three joint replacements and working on my fourth, my Surgeon has me temporarily stop my Prednisone, and Kevzara injections that I take for Polymyalgia Rheumatica, one of my autoimmune diseases. I was on Cellcept a year ago. A very volatile medication if you are not an organ transplant patient. Good Luck!
