Catheter Removal Day is World Cancer Day And So Far So Good!
Might be too soon to tell, but the catheter came out finally, and of course I felt like I needed to pee the whole way home and kept wondering...
Got home, and definitely had to pee and not a drop on the Depends. I hope this is a good sign, maybe be one of the guys who never has a drop of incontinence, fingers crossed!
This wasn't my first catheter removal but it's been a while and I know a lot of guys don't look forward to it, but it's not bad. It stings all the way out for the whole 1-2 seconds, then it burns a bit for 30-45 minutes after, I compare it to having a UTI where things burn a little and you feel like you just always have to pee, but that's the worst of it.

No way!!! I am sure your scans showed a horseshoe shaped mass in or near the rectum🧲….😆. Some people are always lucky and wind up on their feet. I know a few people like this and it burns my rear to no end!
Others….well, like the song says,
If it wasn’t for bad luck they’d have NO luck at all…
Looks like you can be our poster boy for Prostate Cancer Success Story.
Me.... I'll be filed under A Warning to Others.
Honestly, and unselfishly, I WANT to be the poster boy. My hand came up all aces and that's rare, but people need to hear more of that kind of story because you mostly hear about all the doom and gloom and while still have a long battle ahead of me, today is a good day and I'll take all of those I can get.
I had a hell of a time finding the silver lining, so I'm committed to being the silver lining for someone else.
