Can you drink coffee with acid reflux?

I have been having trouble digesting my food I hear it gurgling in my stomach. I have trouble going to the bathroom . Had scope they say it may be Barretts esophagus. Can Coffee cause this. It causes me to have a hard time swallowing and cough up some phlegm at times. Any help would be appreciated

I have found that a spoon of honey works just as well as any honey lozenge. And you can go straight to bed instead of having to wait for it to dissolve. I read that it also works just as well as ordinary cough syrup.
