can androgen suppression cause a1c levels to rise

@buskydog, good question. I merged your 2 discussions into one that appears in both the Diabetes as well as the Prostate Cancer support groups.

First to clarify, you are currently on androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for prostate cancer. You also watch your A1C levels, presumably due to having pre-diabetes or type 2 diabetes. Do I have that right?

All types of diabetics need to keep an eye on A1C.

Sorry don’t have a clue how or if testosterone levels & androgen deprivation therapy affects A1C.

@buskydog welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. Hope someone has answers for you.
