Can Red Light Therapy Cause Muscle Cramping

Good morning,
I tried Red Light Therapy for the first time over this past weekend, placing the red light pad on my right flank/oblique area, where I was already having chronic pain and cramping that no one can figure out.

Within about 10 minutes of the 20 minute session, my right side started cramping severely, and I had to lay down. This has been my only relief over the past three years, laying on my back. It seems to let everything relax enough so that I can sleep, however, as soon as I am out of bed, it is constant pain and cramping from activity.

It has been two days since I tried this, and my right oblique muscles are painfully cramped as soon as I'm on my feet. Does anyone know if Red Light therapy can cause this?

I don't really know much (or anything) about chronic cramping, but red light therapy should in general be relaxing, and it might be if you have one muscle that cramps and the opposite muscle relaxes, that's when you have the problem.

If you still have a problem hours or days later I would not think the red light therapy can be blamed, except if the cramping that occurred earlier does some damage that takes longer to recover from.

At a glance ... Google doesn't seem to think it's a direct cause of cramping, either.
