Can my menigioma grow that quickly?

Posted by mcamero83 @mcamero83, Aug 8, 2025

I had a CT scan done on a Thursday and my menigioma was 1.5 cm, the following Wednesday I had an MRI and it was it was 3 cm. Is this possible? Is it normal? This is all new to me.

I dont think it is "normal" to imprison people in tight boxes and make loud noises . looking business like is irrelevant.

Would you rather not have a possibly serious medical condition diagnosed and treated rather than a few minutes of inconvenience?

the problem with the noise is for those that have sensitive hearing is that it can be frighteningly loud, and uncomfortable, even getting on the table can be difficult and scry. it would be great if they could adapt a set, like the headset you can wear for music over both ears be put on and pulled toward your chest or extended to go over the head and you could enjoy music or just ocean sounds. Wouldn't be that difficult to convert a couple of pairs and not costly to make the extensions to be kept out of the way. would save a lot of blood pressure problems from stress. that and explain to the individual even if you have to write it for them what the procedure does, precisely what the next minuets will dictate. like for elderly folk with hard hearing or patients with other limitations.

Some of the noise is pretty loud even if they use earplugs. It's tougher when you're older and have needs.

This is one of the few times that I’m grateful that I’m really,
really deaf. I wear the ear plugs during the scan on the chance that intense sound could further damage my hearing, but don’t hear anything no matter what I do.

my tumor was over two inches in size and cancerous. had more than one doctor checking me out and what testing along with surgery and what type , what kind of chemo mix will work? my world was kayos overnight. didn't know how 2 cm tumor and growing fast could just drop me in my tracks, but it did. i lost 9 months of memory due to the location of the tumor and frontal lobe right side of the brain . a little while after the initial surgery i had a bleeder they had to go back in and fix but i had faith, and i am a fighter. have to believe in what the brain is capable of and the people that love you. i had multitudes of prayer groups that had prayer chains going. yes i ama believer. that's ok .im 68 and rocking the doctors with what i am getting done. so many seizure's and here i am doing exercise routine, walk 3000 steps daily and defying what doctors said cant be done.. right now cancer free and looking for a girlfriend. Catch me if you can.....

WOW! What a great video. Thanks for sharing. Wish I could have seen this when I first learned my meningioma was what was causing my sinus and eye issues in the summer of 2023. Dr. Sisti's focus was to tamp down one's anxiety after being diagnosed by explaining that there are multiple options to deal with this very treatable diagnosis. Dr. Sisti also explained why a patient could consult with 3 different neurosurgeons and get 3 different protocols for dealing with their meningioma. I loved his recommendation that it is then "up to you to decide which (course of action) makes the most sense to you."

MRI’s used to scare me, too, but if you ask, where I go now, puts mirrors on your chest so that you can see the people working the MRI machine. They all look so business like and normal that I relax.
