Buspar added for anxiety

Has anyone had experience adding Buspar to their Lexapro prescription for added help with GAD? What was your experience? Any bad side effects?

I have had Buspar added to my antidepressant (not Lexapro) twice in the past and both times it worked extremely well for my GAD. I didn't seem to have any side effects at all either time and I didn't find it difficult to stop taking it when I didn't need it anymore. If I felt like I needed it again I wouldn't hesitate to ask my doctor. I've had really positive experiences with Buspar and it's difficult to say that about many medications.

I would agree that Buspar is highly complementary with many medications to fight depression and anxiety. I have been taking it for years along with Zoloft and Wellbutrin.
Good luck to everyone and don’t be afraid to try different combinations of medications until you get it right. Everyone’s mind reacts differently to every medication. My son said he can’t take Wellbutrin and I thought that was a very benign medication. I actually recommended he try it.
