Anyone have experience with Buscopan and/or Pinaverium?

I'm having difficulty with my IBD. My GI first prescribed Pinaverium but it caused dizziness so he next prescribed Buscopan, and after 10 days I've had a severe 40 hour bowel impaction. Doc wants me to stay with Buscopan, together with Metamusil and 1/2 dose Lax-a-Day. Must admit I'm feeling somewhat defeated, but hopeful this will work. Anyone with experience with either of those two prescriptions?

I have read that Buscopen can cause blindness if you have Glaucoma an eye disease.

I do not have any experience with Buscopen except that it was included as a painkiller in my sedation when having a gastroscopy/colonoscopy one time.I have read that too much of it can cause blindness if you happen to have Glaucoma.
