Brain aneurism and seizures
Our daughter had what we all felt was a mental break 2 and a half years ago. She alienated everyone, went on a buying/spending spree on-line, giving money away and acted paranoid around the entire family. She is a veteran, was deployed 2 times, survivor of spousal abuse, mother of two and remarried. She was put in a holding at the VA for 2 weeks, during which they seemed to have misdiagnosed with bi-polar and put on meds. At the time they found a fairly large aneurism in her brain. She had a craniotomy to 'clip' the bleed. She was taken off the meds and began to return to normal behavior. A year later (this past April), they had to go back in (femoral artery) to place a stint- same area. Last month she was with her family, out of the immediate area and suffered a grand mal seizure. Since that time, she is beginning to go back to her bizarre behavior again, shutting everyone out of her life and accusing the family of all kids of terrible things. She is scheduled to see a neurologist, but not until November. Has anyone had any similar experiences ? Our family is at a loss.

I am so sorry to hear this, November is a long time ahead if you need help.
Can you search for any kind of psychological support Until then, is she open to that, to take off some pressure.
I don’t know if she is a believer, church support is very helpful too.
Praying for her and your family ♥️.
The mental health issues could be totally separate from the aneurysm and seizure issue. After having a craniotomy and then a year later an aneurysm repair, I became what my doctor called "hypervigilant" meaning on guard for what would go wrong next. (I've worked on overcoming that.) My doctor also talked about when being hypervigilance borders on PTSD. With your daughter's past history of military deployment and spousal abuse it would seem plausible she has suffered from PTSD. The stress of going through a repeat aneurysm repair could set one off on the path of hypervigilance and a seizure could exacerbated PTSD. I am sorry she cannot be seen by a neurologist until November but I think it is critical that she be evaluated by a mental health specialist as soon as possible.
