Bowel movements after everything I eat

20 years ago I had 18 inches of my colon removed. I’m wondering if that has any bearing on my frequent BMs. I eat every two hours. And it seems I can't get ahead to gain weight because of the constant BMs.

I’m small, so I can’t tolerate too much food, about 1800 to 2000 calories a day. Has anyone had a similar issue. Besides that, I’m fine, but locked in the house. I need to gain at least 10 pounds. My regular (before) weight was 93; I’m 4’11” in proportion even now.

I have a personal trainer and thank goodness for my muscle development or I’d be a stick. My surgery was Nov. 22, 2022. I have made progress as physically I can do anything. I’m tired of the toilet being my best friend!😅

Thank you for reading this and any hints.

P.S. I’m 84 and cancer free so far.

It’s a core-building exercise, where you lift yourself onto your elbows and toes (neuropathy makes that hard!), constrict your stomach muscles and hold the position as long as you can. Even a few seconds helps, and as you get stronger your time increases.
