Bone on bone osteoarthritis knees, hip and spine. And bilateral bunion
I am soon to be 69-year-old female retired registered nurse. I have osteoarthritis bone on
bone in both knees, both hips, my hands, my shoulders and my spine. I also have very severe bilateral bunions. Has anyone had total knee replacements and hips and still had bunions and had a great outcome? I cannot get my bunions done because I cannot kneel for more than 5 Seconds because of the intense pain so using a kneeler roller is not going to happen and I have such difficulty getting up from a seated position having to use arms to push me up that being non-weight-bearing for the bunionectomy would never be able to happen either. I also understand that one cannot kneel after total knee. So, thinking of getting my hips done first before my knees as that is a shorter recovery and sometimes the hips impact the knees greatly. So, I guess my question is, has anyone had successful and hip replacements even though they have severe bunions where the great toe is misplaced to the side? I'm afraid that I will continually fight with my knees and hips again because of my feet and ankle pronation.
