Blot Clots & Blood Loss

Hi
I am new to the group. This is the first support group I have ever joined but I am feeling so lost right now I thought I would seek out other lonng-haulers to see if there are any treatmenrs or research that is applicable to my case. I'm a 74 yr old F. My health was ok until I caught an early case of COVID approximately 2 1/2 year ago. Since then life has been a struggle.

I have a clotting disease that no specialist can put a name to. I have had 3 surgeries on my right leg, the last surgery was touch and go, a four compartment fasciotomy. About a year ago I developed anemia and about 6 months ago my hemoglobin numbers started to drop. My blood levels are checked every week now and this last month I have been loosing about 1 unit per week. In January 0f 2024 I also had a small stroke. Again no answers as to why this is occurring. I regularly see specialists (vascular, hematologist, gastroenterologist) to monitor my care but everyone is just attempting to treat the symptoms. Thank goodness I have an amazing primary care who is still researching and coordinates all my care. She is convinced that this is all Covid related. Does anyone suffer from this combination of health problems and does anyone know of any treatments or study groups relating to microclots from Covid? Thanks so much!

Hi @debbie1338. First so sorry you have gone through so much and grateful you have the gift of a proactive covid informed pcp! In my years here I have seen many describe micro clots and believe a search option for that term will bring up many with personal shared experiences and links to helpful sites/resources etc🤞.
Truly hope you find your needed assistance here to help your pcp further your care with quickest healing
possible 🌈
