Bloodwork off after total knee replacement

Posted by covidstinks2023 @covidstinks2023, 1 day ago

Hey Folks! Anyone else had their blood work to be "way off" after
total knee replacement? I just got mine back yesterday and some
of my values are either high or low that have never been that way.
Have a blessed day!

Make sure you inquire with your doctor for their explanation.
Abnormal or variable findings should have been checked by the
practitioner who ordered the testing so results don’t slip through the
cracks.
Of course surgical stress may imbalance blood counts. Call for reassurance.

@covidstinks2023 Which bloodwork? There are so many tests, it would be impossible to guess. And how soon after surgery?

@covidstinks2023 Not a doc, but have a family member with long Covid whose blood count go out of the normal range with the slightest issue.
You ought to ask your doc, but I am guessing these are more related to a hyperreactive body than to surgery 3 months ago.
