blood pressure recommendations if you have lichenoid conditions
I've had 3 vulva biopsies run by 2 different labs and can't get a definitive diagnosis. I want to know if I have Lichen Planus or Lichen Sclerosus or both. I'd like to know what I've had since 2007 and what type of blood pressure medicine won't exacerbate my condition. All my research lists about every type as not being suitable if you have a lichenoid condition. No article I've found provides any recommendations for blood pressure medicine "to" take if you have either Lichen planus or Lichen sclerosus.

Hi,
I'm sorry you are having such a bad time. Have you talked to your doctor about blood pressure medication? He knows your situation and I would think he would be able to suggest a medication that would work well for you. I have found the most effective blood pressure medicine to be Amlodipine. It works great in getting your blood pressure to the appropriate level. However I don't have the situation that you do. Talk to your doctor and see what he recommends.
I wish you the best.

Drs don't know because my condition is somewhat rare. That is why I am searching for a dr who is, not just familiar with my condition, but has made it a priority in their practice. I've researched this a lot and almost all blood pressure medications exasperate my condition. My dr is hoping I learn something that she can share with her other patients. Thanks for reading and offering a suggestion amlodipine is one of the two blood pressure pills I take. It just might be a better option than others, but flare ups from patients have been reported.
