Yes, I just had Covid in February of this year. Have always had very normal BP, now it's extremely high and have a doctor appt today, so I suspect I'll be on medication. Does anyone know if the BP finally normalizes, so no need for medication, or anything I need to do to get it back to normal after Covid? I love to be very active, even though I'm 67, so don't want to have to be careful with my heart, or have to take medicine if I can find an alternative.

Yes. After covid my bp is out of control. I should have already had a stroke. I've been on so many medications I can't count. Seen so many doctors. Never had high BP in my life. I have had long covid for 16 months. I keep telling myself not to give up but it's so hard not to. I've had and still do have many other symptoms that came with Covid.

I had high BP around 150/85 and irregular heartbeat once LC hit (normal for me was ~120/70). I got covid March of 2023 on a 350 mi bike tour (69 years old). After covid was over (I wish) I went back to biking ~140 mi/week, and then LC hit me. No heart damage (based on troponin and such), but cardiologist had me on the minimal exercise and lots of rest plan until the LC ended. Weights and other resistance exercise didn't seem to cause PEM and helped to keep muscle mass. The LC was mostly gone at 8 months but I still get a few LC PEM twinges if I overdo exercise or too much stress. During LC I would get 5 mi on an exercise bike and then nap. Now I can do 25 mi with rest breaks. Covid is evil; I hope that your symptoms recede, but it is a long slow process.

yes, had stable, angina chest pain, increase blood pressure, heart palpitations, high cholesterol, and a blood clot in my neck! It’s crazy. Previous to Covid, I had nothing but a little borderline cholesterol that was reduced with a diet change and exercise.

Mine did dramatically. It's taken 4 years for me to get almost back to normal. A nurse in our local hospital told me that's one of the most common symptoms they're seeing in Post COVID patients

Yes, but not a lot. I used to run and exercise every morning. Of course, that ceased when this struck me down. I take a low dose of Lisinopril and watch my salt intake. I also take low dose Naltrexone. Hang in there.

I'd gotten my bp down to the mid-120 range before COVID. It has gone up about 10 points after each of my two bouts. I had reduced the medication by two pills. Just had to add low-dose amlodipine.
My MD confirmed that he'd seen post-COVID bp elevation in several of his patients.
That was a good sign as he'd been quite skeptical when I first reported Long COVID. He needed to learn the hard way as well.

Mine went very low actually.
