Bladder tumor remission

Posted by bob76badblad @bob76badblad, Apr 29 7:21am

A brief positive note: after some experiences with regrowth following TURB-T(s), my urologist tried immunotherapy -- 8 (as I recall) weeks with BCG. Now, with biannual and then annual cystoscopies, I am in my 28th year of trouble-free remission. For those of you starting a course of immunotherapy: hope, rotate, and hang in there!

Cheers, Bob

Hi Bob, Funny you should post this. Just yesterday, I had my 6 month cystoscopy for bladder cancer treated with BCG/Interferon 4 yrs ago…all good.
So I graduated to an annual exam per my oncologist. I will happily take 28 years of remission on my 99th birthday…after that, who cares?😂
