Bladder not emptying totally when I have voided and done.meds
After surgery, not related, was diagnosed with my bladder not emptying when I go to void or relieve myself. Urologist prescribed Flomax and 3 weeks later Finistride and still not emptying and now leaking all the time and have second urinary infection, very painful.
Amy ideas appreciated

Hello @hotpepper111. I am sorry to hear that the medications don't seem to be helping you thus far. I am tagging @smartchick43 and @predictable who have both talked about issues with voiding their bladders. Although it may not be the same cause, they may be able to offer some insight and similarities with what you are experiencing. @hotpepper111, If you feel comfortable sharing, is the second urinary infection because of your issues with not being able to completely void? Or is it vice versa?
Believed to be leakage between trip to void or empty. Have had two of them. Multiple showers and changes of underclothing. Odor is very bad.
@hotpepper111 I’m type 1 diabetic and have associated chronic kidney disease. I also seem to be prone to urinary track infections & a certain amount of incontinence (leaking) especially with coughing or laughing. I have had abdominal surgeries over the years for various things and two of them required being catheterized for long periods of time. Sometimes that leads to UTI problems and incontinence while being catheterized &/or after it is removed. Just an idea, since you mentioned you had had surgery. I don’t know if you are male or female (nice photo) but sometimes these problems are associated with gender. For males it can be related to your prostate. For females it can be related to your reproductive system (like a vaginal yeast infection, a weak bladder after carrying & bearing children). If it continues to bother, make sure to follow up with your urologist.
Thanks for your imput, as a male who has had a zero issue history, very frustrated
