Biotin and the Bone Tests

It appears that Biotin interferes with some of the key blood tests for OP/bone health. Neither my GP nor the Endo-doc mentioned this before ordering my tests. What is your experience with this issue? Were you told to refrain from taking Biotin? For how long? I am finding conflicting information.
