Bicycling while on ADT & radiation okay?
I'm new to ADT (on Orgovyx for 1 month now, abiraterone and prednisone in just the past few days, radiation coming soon). Winter is over around here, and I have four nice bikes (can't have too many) in the shed, wanting to hit the beautiful roads and trails around Washington DC for my usual 40-50 mile rides. I've heard that riding irritates the prostate, including temporary PSA elevation. Is that "irritation" and elevation ignorable, or would I be better off sticking to running and weights from the standpoint of treatment outcomes?

@xahnegrey40 No spacer. I should have mentioned in my original post that I am having a recurrence of PCa, where it has metastasized into 2 lymph nodes near the prostate (which is clear). So, no SpaceOar this time around. Still, those lymph nodes' proximity to my "bike saddle bone" have me concerned that biking could adversely impact the radiation therapy's effectiveness, or throw it off in some way, and that's the heart of my concern.
@guybe
ok..forgive me...well I dont think riding will be a problem ...I actually had 45 sessions of photon radiation last fall since I had small area of Gleason 8 in prostate ( 2 out of 14 and 2 Gleason 7---- total of 4 cores out of 12 ) + 2 pelvic lymph nodes that had small tracer uptake.
so I dont imagine cycling will be any problem at all since your radiation will target pelvic region...I imagine you will have some transient fatigue at times but since you are in very good health, I imagine you wont notice much. Good luck to you !! ( always discuss your questions/concerns with your oncologist/radiation team !)
