Benign fasciculation syndrome and SSRIs

I've had mild to moderate BFS for nearly a year. I get it all over my body, but most of my twitches will last for 5-30 seconds then stop and the next one will start 10-5 minutes later. I also get waves of heightened and constant twitching 24/7 in a singular muscle group that will last for several weeks before dissipating (arms, calves, feet, etc.) I got an EMG several months back that was clean and 2 follow up physical strength exams since so they're saying it's BFS. The last visit to the doctor, he said I could consider taking an SSRI.

Admittedly I'm a mildly anxious person, but never really realized my anxiety levels until my first wave of BFS when I was trying to self-diagnose before getting my EMG and seeing a neurologist. My mind was racing for weeks. At this point I've kind of come to terms with it even though I get more anxious when these waves occur like they currently are in my right calf which is full on twitching and left foot which almost feels like it's having "micro-vibrations" as the skin isn't even pulling, but I can feel it.

Has anyone been put on an SSRI post BFS diagnosis and did that help you?
