Barre Class
I have always been very physically active, walking and doing barre class a few times a week. Now, since I’ve have been doing some research on PMR, it seems like doing planks, etc. is not recommended. I’m wondering what others in this group have found. Thank you for your insights in advance.

@rnm, I'm definitely with you on trying to stay active with PMR as it does help. I also read that doing planks is not recommended but did see some mention of modified planks as an alternative. Here's some info that might be helpful on modified planks.

At almost 82 having had a knee replacement some exercises are a little too difficult for me, especially if it involves in laying on the floor 🙃. There's also another discussion you might find helpful:

I found that exercise was crucial to getting my body movement going. I could barely lift my arms but I would do what I could. I tried to do as many muscle groups as possible. I am not very flexible so I did not do any barre or plank exercises. Both those exercises seem like a great way to keep moving. I think you just have to not push your limitations. Listen to your body. I wonder why they say its not a good exercise. Seems perfect to me.
