I had a stroke (4/09) that affected my speech. I had speech therapy that helped helped some. It was decided that I needed an operation to correct paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. Prior to the operation I had a cardiac catheter with automatic power injection. Then next morning I awoke with dizziness and balance problems. I thought that I was having another stroke. I was tested at the ER, had a CAT scan and found everything OK but the balance problems continue. I went through the operation and the atrial fibrillation was corrected. The balance problems remain and are worsting. I have had physical therapy, acupuncture, and different drugs tried. Nothing lasting seems to help. Has anyone else had these problems?
