Arthritis and muscle spasms

Recently I had really bad pain throughout my upper back, the right side of my neck, and down my right arm. It rotated to the various areas but the worse was my back. At first, it even hurt to just sit on the couch. I finally got an appointment to see an NP and she sent me for X-rays. The x-ray showed some collapsed discs in my neck and they said muscle spasms. The conclusion was arthritis and muscle spasm. They want me to go to Physical Therapy. My neck is bothering me a little but the rest of the pain has been gone for weeks. I really didn't have the body pains anymore. I don't have it now. I will go to physical therapy if and when they call me and say where to go but in the meantime, I am doing some youtube pilates exercises for seniors with arthritis. I am taking CBD 1:1 Tincture and it feels ok. Anyone else have this happen or is happening?

Hi, I am now in PT once a week. She gave me exercises to do at home until my next appointment. I was doing them daily because two out of five were regular neck stretching exercises that I've done numerous times. I can watch a video as well to make sure I am doing them right. My other issue it turns out is my back. I have weak scapulas. She gave me a band and I did do three exercises that work the pec area and the scapula. I now have a strange pain in my front right rib that seems to come and go so, I stopped doing those. Anyway, I totally agree about " Just keep moving". That's what I do. At my next appointment, in two days, I am going to talk more about the slipped disks and how is PT helping that problem. I also am not taking the pain pills the doctor gave me, called Baclofen. Works way too good and helps me sleep. Totally addictive. Not going down that path and will continue with my 1:1 CBD/THC.

I have PMR and usually have. A catch and feel very “ Stuck” around my ribs especially if driving and I look to the back seat. I also have a very itchy 5 in. Band across my entire back, including the bra strap area.
There’s an article about this that I recently saw which I can’t find.

Thank you for this info. Never heard of PMR. Found a website called Versusarthritis.org
