Are brand new sealed in bag Aeroeclipses sterile?
Im traveling home from National Jewish Hospital (more on that later), and it’s hard for me to clean my equipment over this 3-day drive home. They gave me 2 unopened Pari? Aero Eclipse XL cup sets. They are still sealed in their plastic bags, and I’m wondering if I need to clean them before using for first time? If I was at home I would, but it would be easier just to use them straight out of the bag if it’s safe.

Just FYI, Here’s what I ended up doing: since I didn’t have a bowl to soak the new parts in I decided soaking might not be necessary anyway, because there shouldn’t yet be biofilms on them. So I just rinsed them and put them in my baby bottle sterilizer. I feel comfortable with that.
@sarahlynn1960 Well, maybe not sterile - but has anyone ever seen a respiratory therapist open a sealed bag containing a nebulizer and tubing, in the hospital or a rehab setting, and clean it before setting it up and treating the patient?
I haven't, and my daughter, and ER nurse, says they never do it either. So for me, I take this as my cue that it is "good enough", so I have always used my nebulizers straight from the (sealed) package.

Very true! They don’t even rinse unless you ask. You also have to ask for them to be rinsed with sterile water vs distilled. So ……
@sueinmn I use that as my guide, too.
