Anyone tried shock wave therapy for peripheral neuropathy nerve pain?

Posted by carolynmcn @carolynmcn, Dec 20, 2024

I’ve had peripheral neuropathy since 2020 after having a Covid vaccine. My pain worsens from supper time on. At bedtime, it is excruciating. I’ve tried all of the creams, even prescription creams. I’ve been on Gabapentin and Lyrica, with no change in my pain, so I am weaning off of these meds. I’ve heard horror stories about the med and withdrawal symptoms.
Has anyone here tired sh I wave therapy? My medical professional suggested it? Any advice? Thank you very much.

i am 78 years old and have pn pain when trying to sleep.it started with cold or hot toes with pain of a sheet touching toes hurting.it progressed to numbness of toes till the entire bottom of both feet to heels were numb. i have tryed for years to find a fix since doctors only want to prescribe drugs for pain with no fix. i started dead hanging on feb14,16,18,20 and 22. after 5 times i am feeling a change in my pn pain. the change is my toes are hurting much worse but the numbness is about gone. is there anyone else that have tryed this?

So, would you rather have pain or numbness? My PN pain level is typically an 8 or 9. I'll take numbness over pain, thank you.
