Hi, l am so happy your lung mets are stable. I will be praying it stays that way. The side effects of lenvima is bad, but the doctors monitors you very closely. I have some good days , and others not as well. But we have to keep holding on and pray for the best. I have been on lenvima for a month and the systems are getting better. Please let me know how the CT scan turns out. I see my doctor on 9/30/ 25 l will keep you posted.

Nice to hear that your husband managed the side effects of Lenvatinib. And seems the treatment works for him. Can I ask why he is taking Lenvatinib and what kind of thyroid cancer has he has? I am about to start with Lenvatinib because of my lung mets, and I am scared to hear the heavy side effects. Thank you for your reply.

@meghansa65 My husband has Hurthle Cell thyroid cancer that has metastasized to the lungs, the areas of the internal carotid artery and brain stem, as well as rib bones. It was discovered in 2005, and since then, he has had multiple surgeries and rounds of radiation in these areas. Last year, the mass by the carotid was beginning to squeeze it, but they figured another round of radiation in that area would disintegrate essential structures, so he started Lenvatinib. He/we were prepared for the worst symptoms, but he's been able to tolerate taking it, never skipping a day, for 15 months so far. Nausea has been a constant side effect since he started. Other side effects have come and gone fairly quickly. He always says, "It's better than the alternative".
I hope you have a bearable experience taking the drug as he has. Wishing you well.
