I just felt a small lump in my throat. I had surgery in 2021. Complete thyroid removal and left neck dissection. I believe they removed 38 lymph nodes. No other treatment other than medication daily and lab work quite often.

That’s great news! Hoping you’re doing well!

Im so sorry you are dealing with this with your Mom. My heart goes out to you. I lost my sis years ago from brain cancer. It is such scary stuff! Please feel free to contact Brant me if I can maybe answer questions for you. 🥰

I’m doing well thanks. It took sometime to recover. I also had an accessory nerve injury during so it took its toll. No other treatment except yearly monitoring which included an injection to see if it raised calcitonin levels. If I could give advice after surgery it would be to ask for something for pain if you have chest drains removed. You may not have them either. 😊

I had surgery for medullary cancer. It was a modified, radical neck resection. Are you scheduled for surgery?

Not yet scheduled… I was recently diagnosed. I have my first appt with the head surgeon of endocrinology on 12-18-23… it feels like it’s taking forever.
