Anyone having excessive mucous problems following surgery .
Its been 18mo since the surgery. I've completed chemo, radiation and now 12 mos. of immunotherapy.. We've been through all the expected and a great deal of the unexpected & unexplained consequences.
What I can't seem to control is the excessive mucous. literally wakes me up several times a week with the need to cough it up, this lasts an hour or so. Seems we've tried everything ,eliminating food groups, mouth wash. we've run out of things to try. ANY suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you all !

There is hope.
Starting this March, I had 2 months of FLOT chemo followed by 25 radiation treatments combined with three more chemo infusions. Then Esophagectomy, which found no cancer remaining including esophagus they removed, surrounding tissues and 10 lymph nodes.
The plan of my Mayo Medical Team was obviously very good.
My j tube helped save me. Kept my nutrition good.
I’m new to this site so don’t really know the options for talking, not just emailing. I’m happy to talk if you want and that’s allowed.
It is a lot to get through but you can. You will!
Stay strong!
@kdietrich, just checking in. How is treatment going?
Again thank you for asking. 2nd chemo immunotherapy later this week. Going as well as can be expected after a rough few days. Hopeful!
