anyone have Sympathetic nerve block after genicular didn't work?

Genicular nerve block had no effect. over a year with random spasms and continued knee pain. can't squat nor kneel. as a bomb tech, i would need to do both of these things with an 85 lb suit on... they said the next step is a sympathetic nerve block near the spine. I'm thinking there's pain for a reason and I'd rather not mask it plus near the spine makes me a bit nervous...
