Anyone have mallet finger or tendonitis in their hands
How does a blue my most distal joint in my little finger drooped I had no control over flexion or extension it just drooped. It was diagnosed as mallet finger. A rupture of the tendon. I have spent 9 weeks in a splint and healed it. I am now gradually taking it out of the splint hoping I will not re-rupture it. I do have osteoarthritis and wonder if there's any relationship. I do not remember injuring this finger at all. Which makes it worrisome that I may rupture it, again. I also wonder if this is a kind of tendonitis more general and whether I may have future injuries like this. Anybody have a similar story and any advice?

Do you think you slept on your hand weird or caught your pinky finger in clothing when getting dressed/undressed and injured it? Do you have any hypermobility in other joints?
I have hurt my thumb joint, elbow, shoulders, etc. due to hypermobility and cervical spine spinal cord injury which makes my hands weaker than they used to be.
Do you have any compression in your cervical spine affecting hand/finger strength and control?
