Anyone have experience with collecting duct carcinoma (CDC)?

We're from and now in Taiwan. My husband has been diagnosed with stage 4 collecting duct carsinoma, metastasized to liver and lungs. The Doctors said that it's a rare tumor without effective treatment. He is undergoing chemotherapy Gezmar and cisplatin, but it doesn't seem to have an immediate effect, so they try to switch to MVAC. According to some casereports and clinical trials, there are also targeted drugs like cabozantinib and immune therapy Nivolumab or Pembrolizumab that seem to work. But everything seems uncertain, and my husband’s condition is deteriorating very quickly. .;(

@yichingchen, you must be very worried about your husband. As you likely know, collecting duct carcinoma (CDC) is a rare, aggressive form of renal carcinoma that is often not detected until it is at an advanced stage. Your husband has received the typical standard of care for metastatic CDC, namely gemcitabine and cisplatin. I hope MVAC therapy (methotrexate–vinblastine–doxorubicin–cisplatin) achieves better results or that immunotherapy is an option for him.

How are YOU doing?
