Anyone had esophagus dilation?

I had an esophagus dilation on Thursday, how long until you heal able to return to normal diet. Still feeling soar in that area and getting frustrated since the GI Doctor said I should return to normal diet within 24 hours. I just don’t see how.

@lisalucier no I have not contacted my doctor about it. I just had the procedure on Wednesday. I figured it would be sore but didn’t expect the bubble feeling. But I could be feeling the bravo capsule. I’ve been told some people can feel it. It does feel strange sometimes when swallowing food. I have not changed my diet, I was told to eat as I normally do. But now do take smaller bites. She took biopsies too. Anyway I will give it the weekend and see how I feel then. Thank you

@sylvermoon8 I had a few esophagus dilations over the years and did not have any problems but maybe your esophagus had to be stretched that bit further.

I had a few but did not have any problems.I could eat immediately but it may depend on how much it was stretched.
