Anyone had Cabazitaxel ot Radiium 223
Hello,
Has anyone had Cabzitaxel or Radium 223?
My husband tried Apalutamide, then Abiraterone, then didn't work anymore after about 2 years. Then they tried Docetaxel, that didn't work. Then 2 sessions of Pluvicto and that didn't work and actually made him worse increasing PSA by 100% so it's up to 1600 now.
They are going to try Cabzitaxel next week?
Anyone had success with this?
The Oncologist also thought Radium 223 might help, but doesn't seem to be available in Canada. Anyone had this? Did it help?

At this point, you don’t have a lot of options. Cabzitaxel with Carboplatin is what they normally want to use when docetaxel Doesn’t work. Not just Cabzitaxel Alone. Ask the doctor about this combination.
If the Metastasis are only in the bone then xofigo (radium 223) Is one of the two options you have? Unfortunately, not everybody responds to treatment when they have an advanced case.
Has he had hereditary, genetic testing? Or somatic, Genetic testing? If he turns out to have BRCA or PTEN There are treatments for those genetic problems.
Has he had pet scans to determine if he has neuroendocrine prostate cancer? The PSMA Pet scan can’t always find that, you need an FDG pet scan to determine it or a biopsy. Very important to find this out, it doesn’t sound like you have confirmation on what kind of prostate cancer there really is in his case.
