anyone get tinnitus from ear wax removal?

I got a very severe case after microsuction at ENT in right ear only. I am concerned as I had no idea this horrible situation could occur. My hearing is normal in both ears but the OAE in the tinnitus ear shows absent for 5-8khZ range. Could the ent have used too much pressure, or too loud and caused hair cell damage? It would seem to require quite a lot though no? Or is it more likely the test is not fully accurate , or that the repair process is still ongoing after 7 weeks?
