Anyone familiar w purported heart arythmia triggered by a meningioma?

I have thyroid auto-immune disease And a meningioma and another meningioma “support group” has attempted to convince me i’m misdiagnosed and that the heart arrhythmia is a known symptom of meningioma that ends with surgical removal of the meningioma. I am under the care of a mayo trained cardiologist and a highly experienced board certified endocrinologist and i have great confidence in their diagnostic and treatment abilities. The occassional arrhythmias are under control with a tiny twice a dose day of beta blockers
My QUESTION to this group is: have any of you been told by your drs and/or experienced BP spikes and tachycardia (or afib) and been Medically informed it was caused by a meningioma? And if so, did the irregular cardiac situation resolve itself with surgical removal of the meningioma? Thank you

Is your Meningioma in an area of the brain that controls heart function? I’d certainly lean toward your cardiologist expertise in the area over anecdotal evidence from peers. You could also involve your neurologist/neurosurgeon in the conversation. That may give you some peace of mind. Wish I had a more solid answer.

Great response, Jason. I was thinking along those same lines but would not have worded my opinion/suggestion as well.

i’m sorry that i didn’t make my question adequately clear. MY heart arythmia’s are purportedly triggered by my Thyroid/auto immune disease and are well controlled by my Cleveland Clinic cardiologist ith tiny doses of beta blockers. Another participant in another group started arguing with me that my arythmia is related to my memingioma. i trust my cardiologist judgment and don’t think the google educated participant knows whet she is talking about/ i posted the question seeking to know if anyone else was familiar with her self diagnosis. Thank you

My husband had a heart arrhythmia that preceded his meningioma diagnosis. The meningioma was removed in 2015. The arrhythmia continued. His meningioma was not in the part of the brain that had anything to do with heart function. Why do some people feel the need to be know it alls when they actually know nothing?

Thank you for your response. It got very nasty in the peer group that the person tried to convince me that my heart arythmia is related to my memngioma and that my Mayo trained Clevelantd Clinic cardiologist doesn’t understand my arythmia—but the non-medical member of that peer group does. “Missy” insisted i was Not listening to my neurosurgeon and that i would die if i didn’t get my M removed to manage my arythmia. I have thyroid autoimmune disease including hyperthyroidism/Graves disease. That is what ER, endochronologist, and cardiologist have determined is driving the arythmia. A tiny dose of beta blockers regulates the arrhythmia. i very much appreciate your response
