Anyone else limited by tight hamstring?
I’m 4 mos post TKR and cannot bend past 90% because of the hamstring pain behind the knee. Is this common? I’m so frustrated with my progress and worry this is the best it will ever get.

I have had tight hamstrings as long as I care to remember. Are you going through physical therapy after your TKR? One of the exercises that they gave me was bending my knee backwards while sitting. It was very difficult at first but eventually my degree of bending slowly improved.
I eventually managed to bend my knee to 126 degrees which the therapist told me was really good. It took several months of good physical therapy but it paid off in the end. The only problem I still have now is fluid retention in the knee one year after the TKR. My doctor took an x-ray and said everything looks good so he just sent me home with no further discussion which bothered me. I will have to review this with my primary care and see what he suggests I should do going forward.
