Anyone diagnosed with omental infarction months after colon resection?

Almost a year after my right hemicolectomy for colon cancer I started having right side abdominal pain. After 14 hours in ER I was diagnosed with an omental infarction and am presently taking pain meds and hoping it heals itself. I wondered if it was connected to the surgery in any way since they have to lift and disengage the omentum during surgery.

@jrs26, sorry to hear about the development of omental infarction. An omental infarction can heal on its own. Besides pain management, was any other treatment recommended? How are you doing now?
