Anyone diagnosed with ibsD due to radiation?
I have had IBS D for a number of years. My 35 radiation and 6 chemos ended March 7.
The IBS D is much worse with D every day. I am working with my GI specialist MD - will have colonoscopy; eliminate dairy; blood test for gluten intolerance.
I read about the vagus nerve that can be damaged during radiation to the neck.
Anyone know anything about the vagus nerve?

Usually when the vagus nerve is damaged, blood pressure becomes liable.
One thing to look into for GI is MTHFR, see that section in this guide for info as relates to thyroid:

Thanks. My blood pressure is very good. The site you provided is very detailed and informative. After I get through all this testing/elimination I will go back and read more.
Dr Joel Fuhrman also focuses on folate vs folic acid. "Joel Fuhrman advocates for obtaining folate from whole plant foods like green vegetables and beans, rather than synthetic folic acid, because natural folate is beneficial and protective, while excess folic acid may increase the risk of cancer and other health problems."
