I have been using salonpas on my calves but they broke my skin out and have a terrible rash.
Anybody have this condition if so what are you using.

@randymor - you might want to consider a vascular consult. I have heard of people with pain in calves being diagnosed with deep varicose veins. Or it could simply be lack of calcium. Either way a specialist could shed some light on your calf pain.

In the meantime, try eating a teaspoonful of prepared mustard when you get the pain. My friend takes it to ease muscle cramps and she says it works for her.

I have had pain in calves and feet once I get in my recliner at the end of the day. I have been diagnosed with CRPS and SFN. I have had relief since being put on Low Dose Naltrexone by pain management. I have multiple allergies to pain meds but going at a very slow increase is helping.
For pain patches I have prescribed for me 5% Lidocaine patches made by Endo. They are sooooo much better than any other product. Hope you find the right fit for you.

I have been told to keep the feet above my heart while in a recliner and use a massage gun on the valves but with light pressure.

I should have said legs rather than "valves,". Also, I use a lidocaine cream with light application with the massage gun.

Try Aspercreme with Lidocaine. It is available in a spray which is dry and fragrance free. May work for you. It is flammable so you may need a doctor to prescribe something.
