Anybody have intercostal nerve damage (neuropathy)?

Intercostal nerve damage following VATS pore than one year ago. Includes transverse abdominis muscle atrophy and a pseudohernia. Surgeon and hospital system basically abandoned me with the thought that it will heal on its own…or it won’t. Limited PT to core strengthening. Denies that this would be causing any digestive issues for me.

i have flashes of nerve pain going across mid abdomen and i can actually see my muscles twitch and spasm and at times its like a hiccup ! Up to 300mg gabapentin 2 x a day and symptoms improving. Wish me luck

I do wish you luck. Gabapentin even at a lower dose effected my breathing significantly, but then I already had restrictive beathing to begin with.
