Anybody have burning eyes and body heaviness?
I'm 60, and have more frequent migraines lately compared to last 25 yrs. I also have these burning eyes and my body feels so heavy. I've had migraines since age 5....aura, numbness, excruciating pain, vomiting....that lasted 4 times a month for 15 yrs. They stopped until up to age 35. Then they started again but differently...aura, no numbness, no excruciating pain or vomiting...thank God I could at least function. But I notice the hangover is worse...the way my body feels weak and heavy.

1 ReactionWelcome to Mayo Clinic Connect, @sambo1. Sounds like you've been dealing with migraines for many years.
Here is an excerpt from an article published on the American Academy of Ophthalmology site that has information pertinent to your question:
- Pain and ocular surface discomfort.
Pain and pressure behind the eyes can be classic signs of migraine. But dryness, scratchiness, burning, irritation, and tearing can also be signals of migraine—and they can be associated with ocular surface diseases, including dry eye disease, blepharitis, and allergic conjunctivitis.

Has your neurologist commented on these symptoms? Have you by chance visited an ophthalmologist or a neuroophthalmologist about your eyes?
