any info on red/hot ears?

I have been experiencing red/hot ears the last 2 weeks. Always around the same time, 6-7 p.m. nothing special happening, just watching tv usually. Thought it was my new blood pressure medication, stopped that, but it is still happening!
What can be causing this, I also have ringing in my right ear, that started a couple of months ago, could this be related to that?
Any suggestions would be appreciated .
