Any experience with urothelial with squamous kidney cancer

What about immunotherapy?

At the beginning of November '24 I was diagnosed with T3 aggressive high-grade Urothelial Carcinoma with Squamous Cell differentiation bladder cancer, which was re-analyzed as Pure Squamous Cell Carcinoma. I was not able to try Chemo or radiation because they don't work on Squamous so on February 19th I had a radical cystectomy and now have a neobladder. I start immunotherapy on April 3rd as that is all that can be done to try and stop new cancer cells from forming.

Like @hmmm (Tanya) said, for some people immunotherapy may be an option. Have you considered asking about available clinical trials? How is your recovery going after surgery?

I am doing fine surgery. Just healing. I also had a non-cancerous ovarian tumor removed. Which is how my kidney cancer was detected.

My Urologist offered no treatment. I am meeting with a local oncologist tomorrow after a relative reached out to him for me. I believe my Urologist to be a very competent doctor. He used to work at Mayo and said he had reached out to colleagues and mentor. I guess I just haven't been ready to give up hope. I will certainly see about immunotherapy or clinical trials.
