Any experience with this trial or hipec treatment?
My wife (stage three pancreatic cancer) has been recommended for this trial (NCT04858009) and I'm wondering whether anyone else here has been involved in that trial, or has experience with HIPEC - Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy - as a treatment. Thanks!

@johnjohnny, I think this is the Mayo Clinic clinical trial you're referring to, right?

John, your wife is in good hands. How is your wife doing? How are YOU doing?
Colleen: Thanks for your response. Yes, I believe it's the same trial as you linked. There's some more info at the official government trial site, but the system here won't allow me to include a link...but it's listed under NCT04858009.
My wife is doing well, all things considered. She was diagnosed in mid-April and was not a good candidate for standard surgery, due to the placement of her mass. Her very positive attitude, though, even in the face of pain, nausea and low energy days, has served her (and me) well. She's had 7 rounds of chemotherapy and, after the 8th round, will meet with the team at Mayo to discuss moving forward with the trail and surgery...if the scans and blood work shows them what they need. Her CA 19-9, while high, has been going down over the last three months. From 1878 to 1434 to 697, and the tumor has shrunk from 5.6 cm to 4.4 cm.
We are anxious to meet with the trial surgeon (Thiels) in a few weeks to plot a course.
Dr Thiels is the doctor that did my whipple surgery last September. I really liked him and his team. Good luck. Prayers and hugs for you and your wife 🙏🏻😊🙏🏻
