Any efficacy using Low dose naltrexone (LDN) to slow tumor growth?

Posted by mmackinnon1 @mmackinnon1, Feb 17, 2023

It is my understanding that Low dose Naltrexone has been used for the treatment of many inflammatory diseases & conditions.
Has there been much in the way of research or reports on the efficacy of using LDN for cancer treatment? If so, can you point me to literature, studies, opinions or trials on the subject? Thank you.

Hi @mmackinnon1,

One of my favorite websites for finding evidence-based info about integrative approaches is Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) complementary therapies database:
– Search About Herbs (cancer specific) https://www.mskcc.org/cancer-care/diagnosis-treatment/symptom-management/integrative-medicine/herbs/search

Here's what they have on
- Low-dose naltrexone https://www.mskcc.org/cancer-care/integrative-medicine/herbs/low-dose-naltrexone

LDN appears to be actively studied for use in cancer. A quick Google search returned many results including:
- Low Doses Naltrexone: The Potential Benefit Effects for its Use in Patients with Cancer https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33504322/

@mmackinnon1, have you been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor?
