Any connection between MGUS and arthritis?

I've just been diagnosed with MGUS, and the pain from my osteoarthritis in my left knee has been getting worse. I'm fairly sure these are two independent, coincidental things, but thought I would ask if anyone else has any insight into this they would like to share, or has seen any research or publications on the topic.
